Sorry I haven't been updating as much - been really busy with holidays and eating everything back home.

Bought my Christmas gift from me to me - the most amazing pair of Ferragamo heels. Love them to bits. Photo will follow later.

Heading back to Benalla very soon. Mixed feelings about it - but I guess in a way I'm ready to deal with the year ahead.

True to my self-motivational manic self, I've discovered a new thing that I'm very interested in pursuing.

6 Changes.

Google it.

No. 44 - Eat At 50 New Eateries (26-28/50)

So, I have gotten into this slump where I forget to bring my camera when I go out to eat. Which kinda means I have no photos. Nonetheless, I am intending to blog about it anyway.

Went for some Korean BBQ somewhere in the city at a place called Hwaro. It was a pretty good experience and I managed to get out of there without smelling like it either.

Also went to Federation Square recently and had a cocktail called Gin Blossom, which was probably one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. Maybe it's something to do with the color... I'm a sucker for pink/red colored drinks.

Hmm, and the last place I went to was... the Melbourne Supper Club. The person who brought me there told me that it had the best Sticky Date Pudding in Melbourne.

Well.

It doesn't. Lol. It's pretty good, but it wasn't out of this world. The cheese selection however, was interesting.

It's a huge shame I don't have photos to show for it, but I shall just have to remind myself to be more hardworking when it comes to taking photos.

Home

After a tedious flight home, where I was seated next to a very demanding teenager who kept dousing herself with Pepsi every half an hour (I was so tempted to give her a lecture about how erosion is bad for you, but refrained from going into my dentist mode), I finally ended up at home.

Everything is pretty much the same. The humidity didn't disturb me as much as I expected it to though.

Looking forward to 3 weeks of doing nothing.

You're Not Sorry - Taylor Swift

All this time I was wasting
Hoping you would come around
I’ve been giving out chances everytime
And all you do is let me down

And its taking me this long
But baby I figured you out
And you think it will be fine again
But not this time around

You don’t have to call anymore
I won’t pick up the phone
This is the last straw
Don’t want to hurt anymore
And you can tell me that you’re sorry
But I won’t believe you baby like I did before
You’re not sorry no more, no more, no

Lookin’ so innocent
I might believe you if I didn’t know
Could’a loved you all my life
If you hadn’t left me waiting in the cold

And you got your share of secrets
And I’m tired of being last to know
And now you’re asking me to listen
Cuz its worked each time before

But you don’t have to call anymore
I won’t pick up the phone
This is the last straw
Don’t want to hurt anymore
And you can tell me that you’re sorry
But I don’t believe you baby like I did before
You’re not sorry no no no noo
You’re not sorry no no no noo

You had me calling for you honey
And it never would’ve gone away no
You use to shine so bright
But I watched our love it fade

So you don’t have to call anymore
I won’t pick up the phone
This is the last straw
There’s nothing left to beg for
And you can tell me that you’re sorry
But I won’t believe you baby like I did before

We enjoy playing Taboo every once in a while.

Me: When you iron clothes... you use this to make the collars and cuffs stiff.
Team mate: Ohhh.... cardboard!!!

It was meant to be starch.

Now that it's just a few more days to freedom for 3 weeks, time has slowed to almost a standstill.

Whyyyy?

Have not actually planned what I'll be doing when I get back yet. All I know is that I'm going to be eating a lot. And sleeping. And forgetting everything weird that has been happening lately. It's been a huge year for me with lots of unexpected twists. Really tired and just need to start off clean again.

Because yes, I come back on the 1st of January. Excellent time for me to write up my resolutions and etc on the plane.

It's A Feeling All Too Familiar To Me

Earlier this year I was in Louis Vuitton, trying on shoes.

Was in love with a pair of ballerina flats that was selling for the low low price of AUD800 or something along those lines. After much hmm-ing and uhh-ing I decided that I'll leave it on the shelf. I don't like it that much, do I?

Well, guess who's wishing she had just coughed up the cash back then?

I've repeated this action so many times my friends don't even sympathise with me anymore. Apparently if you snooze, you lose.

Looks like I've lost. Again.

My First Christmas Tree

When I told my colleagues at the practice that I've never actually had a Christmas tree before, nor ever really had the pleasure of decorating one, there was only one thing to do.

They bought a Christmas tree for me with decorations and all.

Had immense satisfaction decorating the tree and after a lengthy search, found the angel for the top.

Am I akin to a spoilt child at my practice? Maybe.

My Hyacinth

Early this year I bought a hyacinth bulb in the hope that it would blossom in spring.

It didn't.

Well, it sprouted, but it didn't blossom.

The thing is, from day one I kept stressing about the possibility of it not blossoming. I was already mentally preparing myself for the disappointment. Which was supposed to make it easier for me if it didn't happen.

Well, I think I've decided from now on that I'm not going to think that way anymore. Because really, I was still disappointed that it didn't sprout even after all that supposed mental preparation. All it did was give me a supposed sense of justification about it - I never expected it to anyway.

No more.
